Oh, fuck it. I wrote a song (aka poetry that always ends up only having a cohesive rhythm when ‘sung’ in my head because I can’t actually sing) in Hannibal’s perspective. I wrote it quickly, but I may as well continue with the flood of posts!

Vague idea based around a man inviting his tyrannical (“rude”) king to dinner, the king noticing something off about the food, and him then being reprimanded for his behavior outside the man’s house.

Whatever, right?

King of the country, tyrant of the land,
Lay your head to sleep with an empty conscience.
And you wake to walls of comfort;
You’ve done this before.
And your mind’s door will open,
Yeah, your mind will let you out.
It’s always gone smoothly,
But not in my house.

You sing like a caged bird,
Overheard by no one.
It’s a taste too sweet to recognize.
Your mouth parts, letting wine drown your words
Until they sink to the bottom of your mind.

Oh, king of the country, lay your head down,
And breathe just once for me.
See, the hand which you’ve used to cut us all down
Will strangle you as you sleep.

Post-Hannibal ramble.

I want to say that Abigail’s death would be partially deserved (or at least inevitable) in the show, but I also slightly agree with Hannibal in that she was a victim. She obviously should have called the police, but you know… Her only leeway is the fact that she was being manipulated and possibly abused by her father. That would cloud anyone’s judgement. But then, I don’t want to agree with anything Hannibal says because I dislike feeling gullible and I’m not sure even the audience can trust what he says. I guess the fact that the show is making me think and feel so conflicted is a good sign. Still sobbing quietly over the perfect acting. Will, everyone should hug you like Alana did. I see Hannigram, but I think I’m officially on the Alana/Will side.
Eek.

I've seen amazing art, it's in a tag called 'I call it art but'. It's very rare for people to make things that adhere to their own taste, especially when their mental picture is so much better. Your art is breathtaking though.

Thank you very much! I think I’m better than mediocre, but it’s strange having seen truly magnificent art and then being compared to it. Hopefully practice will pay off.
